If the roster does not list the person, the next step is not a private database. For a past booking, a missing record, or a copy of booking data that is not in the PDF, use the Sheriff's Records route. The Cook County Sheriff's Records page says requests may be made in person, by phone, mail, or email at any time, with release limits for active investigations, pending charges, and juvenile information.

Cook County Custody Facilities

Cook County Booking Records
Cook County has no detailed local booking-process page, so the supported process comes from the roster, the jail page, and Minnesota jail standards. After arrest, a person may be taken to the Law Enforcement Center or to another holding agency depending on custody needs. Intake can include identification, fingerprints, a booking photo, screening, property handling, and basic record creation. Minnesota Rule 2911 requires detention information systems and intake procedures to comply with state data law.
The Cook County Jail can hold first-appearance and pretrial inmates up to 72 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. It also has a Work Release/Huber cell for eligible local sentences. The distinction prevents false negatives. A person who was sentenced to prison may disappear from the county roster but appear in MNDOC after processing. A person with a federal case may not appear in Cook County once moved to a federal holding path. A court case may exist in MCRO even after the jail roster changes.
